Equality and Human Rights Fund Assessment Process

The assessment and decision making process was managed by Inspiring Scotland and supported by Scottish Government, and took place between the 14^th of May and the end of July.  The process was as follows: 

• EHR Fund applications submitted via an online form by midday 14^thof May 
• 14^thMay 2021: All applications are checked to ensure they are complete an eligible for funding 
• 17^thMay 2021: Applications are allocated to Inspiring Scotland and Scottish Government assessors considering conflict of interest and appropriate policy oversight
• 17 May-4^thJune: Eligible applications are assessed by up to 2 assessors (independently) 
• 7^th -9^thJune: All scored applications are analysed to look at the potential make-up of a shortlist.  Analysis looked at: Geographic spread, breadth of work and delivery to aim, vision and needs of specific groups/policy areas. Input from SG colleagues on longlist and fit with national strategies and action plans
• 15^th-22 July a shortlist was considered by Scottish Ministers and a final portfolio agreed
• 27-28 July: Successful and unsuccess applicants are notified. Any grant offer conditions, additional information, or discussion regarding individual grants starts
• By August/September 2021: Formal Grant offers are made
