Autism Innovation & Development Fund

A Scotland where we are all respected, accepted and valued.

Through the Autism Innovation and Development Fund, we are supporting people with autism and their families to lead more meaningful and satisfying lives.

Opportunity, independence, choice and control.

We want a Scotland where people with autism are respected, accepted and valued and have access to services and support so they can lead fulfilling and happy lives. People affected by autism face innumerable challenges in everyday life; challenges communicating, challenges in understanding and expressing emotion, hyper anxiety and fear in everyday situations and environments. This creates significant barriers to opportunity and puts enormous stress on their families and their carers.

We are working with support organisations to ensure people with autism enjoy the highest attainable standard of living, health and family life, and are able to participate in all aspects of community and social life including entering education, training or employment.

Part of Scottish Government’s Innovation and Development Fund, and aligned to the Scottish Autism Strategy, our work on Autism Innovation and Development Fund supports organisations who are delivering support to autistic individuals and their families and carers, helping to improve and develop services, ensure sustainability and foster collaboration and innovation.

The better Scotland we envisage is one in which people affected by autism and their families have the support and confidence to lead happy, healthy and satisfying lives.
