Through our thematic funds, we bring together the right people and organisations to design rigorous and innovative solutions. We work in the communities that need it most and build strong partnerships with government and business to maximise our impact.

Fostering collaboration across a portfolio of charities and a network of experts, we help each organisation to develop individually, and create the right environment for lasting, sustainable partnerships.

We raise and manage funds, and support charities to leverage more. We study, research, evaluate, learn and share our knowledge, helping our portfolio to prove successes and become more effective.

Our highly-experienced staff work closely with each organisation, tailoring support to their unique circumstances and helping to develop local and cross-sector relationships.

We want to make Scotland a better place and each thematic fund, and every person, organisation and network within it, works towards that goal. Together, we are committed for as long as it takes, whatever it takes.

14:19 Fund

The 14:19 Fund helps some of the most disadvantaged young people aged 14 to 19 in Scotland who struggle to access employment, education or training, giving them the chance to transform their lives.

Self-directed Support empowers people to be equal partners in their care and support decisions and to participate fully in all aspects of life. Support in the Right Direction 2021 funds organisations across Scotland to deliver independent support to people and carers accessing social care, and to support them to exercise choice and control over that care.

Scottish Government’s CashBack for Communities programme tackles Scotland’s inequalities by raising the attainment, ambition and aspirations of disadvantaged young people.

Building Brighter Futures Fund

Building Brighter Futures Fund is managed by Inspiring Scotland on behalf of Hub Community Foundation. The Building a Brighter Future Fund was set up to create long-term training and job opportunities for underprivileged young people aged 12 – 21. For the next three years, over £400,000 will be distributed annually, with individual funding awards for charities ranging from £20,000 to £60,000 being made each year for three years.
