The impact of our Specialist Volunteer Network (SVN)

SVN is a key part of Inspiring Scotland's model and can be a real game-changer for charities.

Specialist Volunteer Network

Impact in 2020

In 2020, our SVN delivered £760,100 of non-financial support to almost 300 charities. The network’s support has been transformational for many organisations, but critically, it enables senior management to increase their focus on core business functions and to streamline, scale and innovate.

Facilitating Children in Scotland's annual development session

In December 2020 the Children in Scotland (‘CIS’) Managers Team took part in our annual development session. Inspiring Scotland brought Facilitator, Consultant and Certified Professional  Coach Sarah Griffiths to lead a positive, constructive and enthusiastic session, focusing on team building and collaboration.

Sarah is very knowledgeable and really listened to what we were looking for. She tailored exercises to be relevant and interesting to the group. Her focus on guiding us to find ‘the best way of working together’ and the techniques to implement it were particularly useful, a good mix of theory and practice.

I felt Sarah did a great job of challenging us in a supportive way. I found her really easy to work with and enjoyed the session.
