Survivor Scotland supports survivors of abuse, ensuring they have access to, and control over, support and services to help them enjoy a healthy, happy life.
Scotland is one of the few countries in the world to have actively taken steps to acknowledge and address the devastating effects of childhood abuse.
The Survivor Support Innovation and Development fund helps charities who support those affected by the negative consequences of childhood abuse, enabling them to enjoy good health and participate and thrive in society. Meeting the needs of survivors and listening to what they have to say is the overarching priority.
Funding aims to support development or innovation to expand the capacity and capability of survivors’ charities, allowing them to better respond to the negative impacts on life chances that survivors often experience. The focus is on improving and developing the workforce and services that treat, care for and support survivors across all domains of health and well-being in a person-centred way.
Inspiring Scotland works with Scottish Government to expand the capacity and capability of survivors’ charities, allowing them to better respond to the negative impacts on life chances that survivors often experience.
