cashbackforcommunities.orgScottish Government’s CashBack for Communities programme tackles Scotland’s inequalities by raising the attainment, ambition and aspirations of disadvantaged young people.
CashBack for Communities is a unique Scottish Government programme which takes funds recovered from the proceeds of crime and invests them in free opportunities for young people.
Since 2008, £92 million recovered under the Proceeds of Crime Act has been committed to helping young people to try something new; to try something that’s beyond their means or out their comfort zone. It has been invested in helping young people forge relationships, make friends, and find positive role models. It has helped young people learn new skills, achieve things they never thought they could, gain confidence, and find untapped creativity. It has given young people the chance to show what they can do, to take the lead, to be proud of themselves and their communities.
Since 2012, Inspiring Scotland has been the delivery partner for CashBack for Communities, helping partner organisations to increase their capacity and have greater impact for Scotland’s young people.
