14:19 Fund

We believe in opportunity for all

The 14:19 Fund helped some of the most disadvantaged young people aged 14 to 19 in Scotland who struggled to access employment, education or training, and gave them the chance to transform their lives.

A better future for Scotland.

We want every young person in Scotland to have the opportunity to realise their potential and lead a fulfilling life. Thousands of young people in Scotland are at risk of missing out on education, employment or training because of circumstances beyond their control; because of the area they live in, because of a difficult home life or because they have additional needs. We set out to change that.

Established in 2008 as our first thematic fund, 14:19 had the ambitious target of helping 35,000 young people into sustainable employment, education or training over 10 years, and giving thousands more young people the confidence and skills to change their own lives for the better.

From the very first day of the 14:19 Fund, we focused on helping the charities that support those young people to become more successful, more innovative, and more sustainable so they could continue to help more young people in Scotland to lead better, happier lives – and have a lasting impact on the educational and employment landscape of Scotland.
