Survivors of Childhood Abuse Support Fund

Survivors of Childhood Abuse Support Fund

Funded by Scottish Government and supported by Inspiring Scotland, this £10m fund over 4 years provides funding to charities who support those affected by the negative consequences of childhood abuse, enabling them to enjoy the highest attainable standard of living, health and wellbeing, and family life.

The SOCAS fund has three overall intended outcomes:

  • An increased number of survivors are supported, leading to recovery from childhood abuse
  • Adult survivors receive an enhanced quality of support, resulting in better recovery and increased resilience
  • The survivor support sector is strengthened through collaborative and partnership work among third sector providers and statutory services.

A new round of funding is available for the Survivors of Childhood Abuse Support Fund. You can find more information about the fund here.

For further information about this work and the impact for survivors, please access the independent evaluation of the first three years of the fund here.

Please be aware that this report includes content of a sensitive nature including real life descriptions of childhood abuse that readers may find challenging or distressing. Please practice self-care whilst and after reading.
