Link Up is the fourth Inspiring Scotland programme which - unlike previous funds - is being delivered in partnership with Host Organisations in 10 communities across Scotland.
Link Up will increase opportunities for individuals in communities to come together, get to know different people, participate and help each other. Link Up is facilitating simple activities - suggested and developed by the community - and is exploring how this can increase social networks, confidence and self-esteem.
Robust monitoring and evaluation will look at the difference these activities make to community integration. Over-time, Link Up will also look at what longer-term outcomes emerge – making a connection between improved individual and community resilience & well-being to community safety and health indicators.
Link Up is being delivered with funding and support from the Scottish Government’s CashBack for Communities programme.
Host organisations are charities with a base in the recruited local community.
See Portfolio of Ventures for detail of the communities and Host organisations that we have partnered with.

Check out the short film made in November 2012 for an introduction to Link Up and our reflections on the first year. It features residents involved in Link Up in Gallatown (Kirkcaldy), Leith, North-West Kilmarnock, Muirhouse and North Motherwell. We will be following it up early in 2013 with another clip with residents from the other Link Up areas and reflecting on how Link Up activities have started to make a difference locally
