yipworld.com was established in 2000 in Cumnock, East Ayrshire to address the increasing problems resulting from disaffection and lack of opportunity for young people. It has a track record of introducing innovative services based on consultation with young people and has created a mobile unit that is fitted out with IT equipment and resources. As a result yipworld.com now has a very successful outreach programme in outlying areas of East Ayrshire.

14:19 Fund investment will be used to develop a programme of engagement with young people not in education employment or training. Initially this will focus on soft skills, moving towards literacy, numeracy and ultimately to successful transitions from school. Links will be built with employers to ensure that young people are provided with real employment opportunities.
