Parklea Association Branching Out Ltd operates as a Horticultural Training Centre on the outskirts of Port Glasgow. It provides education, work activity, recreational and social facilities for a variety of users, including young long-term unemployed people. Through horticultural activities, a range of core life skills are delivered as well as training leading to SVQs in Horticulture and Access to IT. Literacy levels and job seeking skills are also improved and the training offered helps individuals to move into voluntary placements, further education or paid employment.

14:19 Fund investment will be used to engage young people from Inverclyde who are not in education, employment or training. A structured programme of education will be provided through horticulture, along with an alternative supportive environment to mainstream education.
