Stranraer YMCA and Wigtownshire CVS have come together to deliver ‘Y-PLAY’, an outreach Play Ranger project. This will take play to children in rural areas making maximum use of public spaces.

Stranraer YMCA has had great success with their Kids Space Youth Group and this new project will allow the organisation to provide services not just in Stranraer but also in outlying villages, working closely with local schools and Community Wardens. Wigtownshire CVS works with Voluntary and Community Organisations across Wigtownshire, helping the Third Sector to get their voices heard by Community Planning Partners. The partnership work is an excellent example of how organisations can develop new opportunities, and the ‘Y PLAY’ project represents an exciting opportunity for the children of Stranraer and rural Wigtownshire.
