Parent Action for Safe Play is based in the South Coatbridge Social area and runs a Safe Play Park and indoor facility that offers a wide range of play activities as well as events for the local community.

Go Play funding will secure the continuation of free play sessions for children and young people, alongside the installation of renewable energy street lighting throughout the play park to extend hours of play throughout the year. Play Rangers will extend the service and enter disadvantaged areas of Coatbridge targeting areas of greatest play deprivation. Staff will encourage children and young people to make use of streets and open spaces in all weather conditions; children will become empowered by the free choice, 'openness' of the activity and involvement in planning and evaluation.
