Midlothian Association of Play is a voluntary organisation that provides support and advice for all play projects in Midlothian. MAP also provides grants to projects and has a Resource Base where groups can purchase art and craft materials and hire larger pieces of equipment and toys.

The Go Play investment will strengthen free play opportunities for children in Midlothian. It will help set up new structures and programmes of activities that will be able to continue after the 2 years. To take the learning and activities forward, MAP will create a Play Development Plan for Midlothian for the next 3 years. MAP will sustain the service by developing the infrastructure with groups/clubs and partner play organisations to raise the profile of free and child led play in Midlothian.
