Grounds for Learning, a Scottish charity, enriches children’s lives by helping Scottish schools and early years settings make the most of their outdoor spaces for play, health, learning, sustainability, sociability and fun.

Main activities are: 1) Working with policy makers to ensure that the value of school and nursery playgrounds is understood and that they are well developed and used; 2) Supporting local authorities, schools and settings to develop and use these spaces creatively through providing training programmes and resources for pupils, parents and teachers; 3) Practical development projects – in partnership with corporate, trust and local authority partners the organisation works with pupils and whole school communities to transform school playgrounds and the way they are used.
