Glasgow Playschemes Association is a charitable organisation initially founded to support Playschemes. The GPA now also supports many other voluntary groups of children, adults and young people by providing advice and information and by offering a wide range of arts and crafts materials at very reasonable costs to affiliated members.

The Go Play programme will fund a full-time Development Officer to be responsible for promoting and encouraging the setting up of new Playschemes throughout Glasgow. Working in conjunction with Culture and Sport Glasgow, the Development Officer will provide free play opportunities for Playschemes within Glasgow. The Development Officer will also be expected to visit existing Playschemes in Glasgow to develop links and to promote free play for children particularly within the 5 to 13 age group.
