Cumbernauld YMCA YWCA was established in 1960. It now operates in North Lanarkshire, Denny and East Dunbartonshire. The organisation provides a range of activities for all ages but the majority are focussed on children and young people. These include: Princes Trust Teams; Include Me; Youth Clubs; Junior Clubs; Summer Day Camps; Mini Day Camps; SVQ Playwork Training; Children’s Council; Youth Council; Exchange Programme; Out of school (19); Care Anger Awareness & Lifeshaper and Spirit Level programmes; CV & Employment Support; Supported Accommodation. The main centre is located in a housing area with no suitable play areas.

Land adjacent to the main centre has recently been purchased and Go Play funding will enable the establishment of 3 free play zones (quiet: forest: active) as part of the development.
